This is what happens on rare days when there is nothing to do and one is home alone. A selection of goods made over a period of time and arranged together to create something different and appealing.
Beautiful work, my dear!!!
O.M.G!! Im )))))) tOooo cute!
So cute !!!!
Just looking at these again. I would sooo love to sit down with you (and your beautiful lady) and having a creation session together.
Perhaps one day in the not too distant future my dear May. One of the problems is that if and when I ever visit Oz again I will naturally gravitate towards Victoria where my childhood friend lives. He is near Sale. Getting to your end of the woods would entail a fairly expensive detour I should imagine. Having just looked at your High Wycombe journal though, perhaps it might not be too long before we can host you in our part of the world! Thanks for your lovely comment.
I can certainly understand that you would want to visit a friend after travelling all this way. Victoria is nice. We've 'done' Melbourne, the Gt Ocean Rd and out to Marysville to see Brunos Sculpture Garden - there are many photos in my gallery. And yes, Melbourne to Perth is a few hundred dollars each. It would be wonderful to visit the UK but I can only travel for up to 10 hours before the allowed limit of travel sickness meds, so would have to stop over somewhere for about 24 hours half way through the trip. It's going to have to wait until David retires so that we can stay long enough to justify the journey and the cost of the fares.
Completely understood. You could always do what I did and stop over in Malaysia on the way over. In fact you could probably also stop over in Dubai. Never mind, I'm sure that one day we will probably get to meet.
Thanks for your compliment on my work. Yours is very impressive and meticulous too !
How did you make the knife and cutting board?
These are perfect.
*Hands $500,000,000* Give me one. D:<
The cutting board is simply a piece of scrap Balsa wood which I cut and stained and varnished with a water based varnish. The knife is a piece of a Spam tin cut to shape and sandpapered with a polymer clay handle. Easy to make but very effective. Thanks for your words.
THIS IS FANTASTIC!
Did you use a polymere clay to make this?
The lemon looks so very very real!
What scale is all this lovely fruit?
Thank you. I use Fimo with some Sculpey translucent. All these are roughly 1:12 scale. The lemons are less than one centimetre long. It is such fun making them, you should try it some time.
Yes, Ik know, I made a lot of that stuff for my dollshouse.
Having posted my comment I realised that you have done huge amounts of work for your own dolls house. I felt a bit of a fool for trying to get you to try something without doing my research. My favorite of yours is actually the Sansevieria. I think it is wonderful. Have a good day.
Haha, well that's no big deal, can't expect you to know about my dollshouse.
But indeed that chapter is closed for me, i'm doing different things now, but sometimes
I just have this feeling that I would like to make those sweet little foods again.
Especially when I see the wonderful thing you've made.
Wonderful job, Mel! Your fruit canes are really, really good. I especially like the apples though. And how you managed to peel them so accurately is beyond me. Brilliant work, as always
Thank you sunshine. Haven't heard from you in a while. I thought you had run away.
What a cute treats, love them all
Oh my goodness these are amazing. Talk about time well spent!!!
They're all really nice. I like the peeled apples a lot.

What's freaking me out is that I use the same style for baskets.
Your details are great and really clean! I love the peels coming off the apples.
The fruits in particular look wonderful!
Thats really amazing! Good job
